WCCI History

In 2015 the Wandoan Chamber of Commerce and the Wandoan Progress Association amalgamated to become one organisation. The new organisation, now called the Wandoan Community Commerce & Industry Association (W.C.C.I.), serves as an advocate for local people, business and organisations, dedicated to the growth and success of our local community.

Through proactive relationships and communication with all levels of government, the resources industry, local organisations and businesses, we aim to grow a positive, progressive and active community. The goal is to strengthen the local economy as well as preserving and improving quality of life for all.

As the structure of our community changes, business owners and community organisations must also change if we are to survive and succeed. The key to success is communication and the promotion of all things local.

W.C.C.I. encourages local residents and business to support each other by buying local and by sourcing supplies and services locally. This not only saves time - it can also be cost effective and the benefits to the community are priceless.

There is an open invitation to all, to be part of this exciting group of like minded community members. If you are interested in helping the Wandoan community move forward, we welcome you.

The W.C.C.I. meet monthly at 5.30pm in the Wandoan Surf Club, Royd Street. Everyone is welcome!
